I couldn't help closing this with "forked tongues," which is a mistake though not an accident, in the sense of a befalling. I made it happen, ostensibly through my sometime predilection to rough things up, turn over the rock: make seamy.
The statue here is Alexander Hamilton, who also lived in this neighborhood.
