ixion
Random Combinations
Ixion, a web-based, interactive work, is constructed so that any text section may be randomly combined with any photograph. While there are 2,048 possible text-photo combinations, the number of possible sequences are practically infinite. This work is a collaboration between Sam Truitt and the photographer Warner Dick. who together over the course of the summer of 2001 documented tracklife at Riverhead Raceway in Riverhead, Long Island, New York. This work was wired by Mary Bellows.
